Today we had Mrs Diamond modelling two fitness lessons for us. They were called “Tail Tag” and “On the Bench”. We had so much fun learning new skills and having fun with friends.

Team Tui Expo

Today Team Tui had a Expo about our LCS. Our LCS was about the culture groups we joined. We had to make something from that culture. I made a pale fuiono it is from the culture samoa. A pale is something you wear on your head for dances like a taualuga or a siva. We usually wear a pale when we do polyfest ,weddings or birthdays.

Athletic Day

On Friday the 11ths of November we had athletics day. For athletics day we had long jump, high jump, shotput, sprint, discus and rob the nest. What we had to do first was to go in our year groups then we go our rotation and the year 6 girls went to shotput first. Then after shotput we rotate to our other sport which was rob the nest then we went to all our other rotation. after that  we had lunch. Then after our rotation and lunch we had our races after the races we had relay and it was pretty funny but then after the relay and the race we had to go and clean our class room then get our bags then it is home time.

Identify Pi

Today for maths I measured the diameter using a ruler and I measured the circumference using a string. When I finished measuring I divided the circumfrence by the diameter. The result is Pi, This Value is a little over 3.

Fun with probability

Today in maths me and my group had to write namber one to six and then draw a line under the number. Then me and my group had to write a tally  on which number we think it going to land on but the teacher only had 20 times to roll the dice. When we get the number right we circle it then keep going until we get up to 20 rolls.

Next we had to write the same thing but when our teacher rolls the dice we tally on the number it lands on. But we also get 20 times to roll the dice.

Maths probability

For Maths we hgad to go in the hall and bring our math book and a pencil and a glue stick so we can do some fun games.

My favourite was blocko – where you had to place 11 blocks on a sheet numbered 2-12. Mr Herlihy rolled two dices to get a total, and if you had a block on that number, you could remove it. I was the first one to win in the first game.

My other favourite was the one where you had to chuck a bean bag and a ball and try to get it into the hole. It was challenging and some people couldn’t get it – and some could.
